For my final project in the Athletic Performance Footwear Design course at the Fashion Institute of Technology, I created The King Monarch Collection, a line of athletic footwear inspired by the powerful King Monarch Tigers based in China. Using color pencils, markers, and fine liners, I developed three distinct designs that seamlessly blended functionality with intricate storytelling. Each concept drew upon the tiger’s bold stripes, vibrant colors, and majestic strength, symbolizing courage, power, protection, and royalty in Chinese culture. The tiger, often regarded as a king among animals, embodies leadership and dominance, which I translated into striking and innovative footwear.
